For a pitch of a car image movie i had to create a plant growth effect which then later could be multiplied to grow over a large city behind the cars track.
Therefore i created a special setup based on a IK spline setup where the creation of the plant is generated by an automated script. This setup was tested on a basic setup and could have been later assembled to some more complex rigs with twigs and branches eg.
It was also considered to use Houdini's L-Systems as a growing trial. But then i discarded the idea because it seemed not to be worth the effort for this first test.
